Preserving Stock and Inventory

Many warehouse facilities that are in use today were built in the 1980’s and 1990’s increasing employee risk due to the likelihood of asbestos contamination.

Warehouses are typically used for storing inventory in bulk for supermarkets or large retailers. These facilities usually have a large square meterage and are built using robust materials such as corrugated cement roofing, thermal insulation, and sprayed coatings that often can contain asbestos fibres.

For these buildings, the danger lies in deterioration over time through activities such as moving tall shelving units, drilling, or securing materials to walls. These everyday activities can cause disturbances and result in the release of fibres into the air which can then be inhaled by employees or contaminate the goods being stored within the warehouse.

To protect both warehouse staff and the inventory being stored, our team of specialists can visit your building and complete the abatement process to identify where asbestos may be present and decide on a suitable solution.
